Results Seminar (Open exam)
Preparation of seminar results for students
- Submit 6 (six) copies of a complete thesis inside a light green buffalo paper cover, abstract separated, TPA and TOEFL certificates, proof of submitting a published journal to the administrator, no later than 5 (five) working days before the open exam.
- Create the presentation materials in the form of power point files.
- The results seminar will be attended by administrators, supervisors, examiners, lecturers, and students.
- The Results seminar can be held if the number of student participants is at least 10 people.
- The results seminar is held prior to the closed exam.
Execution of Results Seminar
- The Results seminar begins with an opening by the Head of Study Program or Faculty Leaders. The Head of Study Program or Faculty Leader introduces students, Main Advisor, Companion Advisor, and Examiner.
- The result seminar is carried out in the following manner:
The Main Advisor as the Chairman of the Session, leads the Results seminar. The Results seminar will last for 60 minutes, 20 minutes for presentations and 40 minutes for discussions of students, lecturers, and examiners. The Results Seminar contributes to 15% of the overall Thesis score. - The Chairman of the Session and the examiner evaluates the thesis script for the closed exam on three statuses:
– Creditable (Passed) without further improvements
– Creditable (Passed) with further improvements
– Non creditable (Failed) - The Chairman of the Session closes the Results seminar, and then determines the date of the closed examination which will be held soonest by two weeks and latest by one month after the Results seminar.
Closed Exam
1. Closed Exam preparation for students
Submit 6 (six) copies of the revised thesis based on input at the open seminar with a light green buffalo cover to the administrator, no later than 5 (five) working days before the closed exam.
2. Execution of Closed Exam
- The closed exam begins with an opening by the Head of Study Program or the Head of the Faculty. The Head of Study Program or the Head of the Faculty introduce the students, Main Advisor, Companion Advisor, and Examiner Team.
- The Closed Exam is led by the Principal Advisor and lasts 90-120 minutes.
- After the exam is carried out, a meeting is held to determine the results of the exam.
- The Closed Exam score contributes to 65% of the total Thesis scores.
- The Chairman of the Session and the examiner closes the session and determine the results of the exam:
– Passed without further improvement
– Passed with further improvement - The test result sheet and the minutes of the session are signed by the Chairperson of the Session and all Examiners.
- Closed examination scores can be nullified if the student cannot submit a thesis revision within 2 months and must take the closed examination again at his/her own expense.
