Stipulation of Thesis Advisory Lecturers
- Students are guided by 1 (one) main supervisor and assisted by 1 (one) assistant supervisor each of whom has a relevant field of expertise.
- The main supervisor is a lecturer in the Postgraduate Program of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University and has at least the position of Lector and Doctoral degree or equivalent, with expertise relevant to the thesis topic.
- The co-supervisor is a lecturer at the Postgraduate Program of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University and at least has the position of Expert Assistant and has a Doctoral degree or equivalent, with expertise relevant to the thesis topic.
- The accompanying supervisor may be from outside the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine or outside UGM if deemed necessary with the approval of the Dean.
- A lecturer is allowed to be the Main Thesis Supervisor for a maximum of 4 (four) students and as a Companion Supervisor for a maximum of 4 (four) students at the same time (school year) for each interest.
- The Main Advisor or Companion Advisor who for some reason cannot continue the mentoring is replaced by another supervisor and/or co-supervisor at the suggestion of the Thesis Commission Team and determined by the Dean.
- The Thesis Commission in question is a commission appointed and determined by the Dean, which consists of one Head of Study Program, and a postgraduate lecturer representative from each department.
- The Thesis Commission is tasked with determining the main supervisor and co-supervisor as well as proposing candidates for thesis examiners.
- The Head of Study Program proposes the issuance of a thesis supervisor decision letter based on the results of the thesis commission meeting to the Dean.
